Sami Shamo

Sami Saleem Shamo is a motivated young activist and researcher. He has been working in the humanitarian sector especially with Yezidi internally displaced people (IDP) since 2014 in the field of Education, Protection, and Psychology in Iraq. He is currently a master’s student of Interdisciplinary Studies of the Middle East at Freie Universität Berlin/Department of History and Cultural Studies.

Education:

(2014- 2015) Bachelor’s degree in English language and literature at the University of Duhok, Faculty of Humanity, College of Arts

Work Experience:

  • (2019- 2020 ) Admin and Procurement Assistant  at Joint Development Associate (JDA) – international.
  • (2016 -2017) Educational coordinator at EDGE institute NGO (Education for Global Engagement).
  • (2017– 2022) Educational Coordinator at Panaga Organization for Education.
